Three Bahamian farmers attended the training program. They were Mr. Edward Knowles from Long Island, Mr. Henry Arthur Duncombe from Grand Bahama and Mr. Shawn Ricardo Miller from Nassau. During the ceremony, Mr. Knowles proposed that the biggest problem existing in Bahamian agriculture was the shortage of labour. Most Bahamians from the rural areas went to the city to seek jobs. Mr. Knowles asked if the Chinese Government had any solution to this problem. Mr. Lu answered that China still did not have a good solution but that several were being considered.
