The Embassy of The Bahamas held its first International Cultural Exchange Reception at the Residence of the Head of Mission recently, in perhaps the largest cross-cultural event to be organized since its opening in March of last year.
The event came in an effort to ecourage Bahamian students in China to engage in cross cultural exchange activities, thereby increasing their knowledge and appreciation of the culture and history of China and those of countries around the globe.
Students and businessmen from around China, Europe, The Bahamas and the Caribbean came together to feast on mouth-watering dishes and engaged in provocative debates on topics ranging from personal career plans to modern politics, cultural, history.
As a result of the event’s huge success, Mr. Miller, Head of Mission, expressed his sincere gratitude to those responsible for orgainizing the event, and pledged that the Embassy will be the location of choice for similar events in the very near future.
