The Bahamas Embassy, Beijing is presently able to process all applications for Bahamian passports (both first time and renewals). Given the biometric requirements for the E-passport, applicants should be aware that all applications must be filed in person at the Embassy, regardless of application type.


Applicants for a first time E-passport (ages 15 years 6 months, and above) will be required to present the following documents:
•    Completed Application form;
•    Three (3) colour photos on white background (if this is the first time applying for any type of Bahamian passport the back of one photo and the application form must be countersigned);
•    Applicant’s Birth Certificate of Affidavit ;
•    National Insurance Card and/or Voter’s Card;
•    Parents’ Marriage Certificate (if applicable);
•    Mother’s Birth Certificate or Affidavit, or Naturalisation (if parents born after 10 July 1973, must present Grandmother’s Birth certificate);
•    $50.00 US Dollars

Applicants for a first time E-passport (below age 15 years 6 months) will be required to present the following documents:

•    Completed Application form;

•    Three (3) colour photos on white background (if this is the first time applying for any type of Bahamian passport the back of one photo and the application form must be countersigned);

•    Applicant’s Birth Certificate of Affidavit ;

•    National Insurance Card;

•    Applicant's Immunization Card;

•    Parents' Naturalization certificate if applicable;

•    Parents’ Marriage Certificate (if applicable);

•    Mother’s Birth Certificate or Affidavit, or Naturalisation (if parents born after 10 July 1973, must present Grandmother’s Birth certificate);

•    $25.00 US Dolars

Applicants for a renewal of the E-passport will be required to present the following documents:
•    Completed Application form;
•    Three (3) colour photos on white background;
•    Current E-passport.
•    $50.00 US Dollars

Applicants for a replacement E-passport (lost/stolen), will be required to present the following documents:
•    Completed Application form;
•    Three (3) colour photos on white background;
•    Police report
•    $50.00 US Dollars

Applicants for an Emergency Travel Document will be required to present the following documents:
•    Completed Application form;
•    Three (3) colour photos on white background;
•    Police report
•    $35.00 US Dollars
