Scores of "Friends Of The Bahamas" in China gathered at the Residence of the Bahamas Head of Mission, on the night of 31 December, 2007, to wish him and Bahamian students in Beijing a Happy New Year.
Among the "Friends" were former Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, Mr. Jiao Dongcun; Vice-General Manager of Shijiazhuang International Travel Service, Mrs Yang Jinghua; Director of CCTV-7, Ms. Wang Xuren; Office Director of China International Exchange Association, Mr. Yan Shixue and Chairman of the International Eco-Safety Cooperative Organization, Mr. Jiang Mingjun.
